Carter is a founder and the Chief Executive Officer of First, an advisory firm assisting commercial and federal healthcare entities maximize value through clinical and revenue cycle evolution. He brings 20 years of healthcare information technology management, consulting, and enterprise change leadership to U.S. clients and partners.
Carter is able to draw upon his hospital, consulting, and vendor background to benefit First’s clients as well as the company’s valued advisors, recognizing that positive culture often has greater impact than detailed strategy.
Carter held previous management and IT positions at Park City Solutions and Adventist Health System and is an avid runner, triathlete and adventurer with his wife Karen and their daughter Hannah.
As an honored board member of the Children’s Eye Foundation, working to cure preventable blindness across the globe, Carter enjoys bringing a mix of regulatory, operational and technological perspectives to this great cause. Carter holds a B.S. in Health Science from the University of Arizona and a M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
