Maryandra, what is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting out in your field?
Learn the business side of healthcare. Know how to speak to other healthcare team members that are not from IT. This is very important. In order to support and develop tools to help our clinicians and business partners, IT must be able to speak their language. I always try to remember the audience (whether it is a clinician or business professional) and then adjust to ensure they can relate to the topic being discussed.
