New myCHIME Community Networking Platform Goes Live as CHIME And Next Wave Connect Achieve Key Partnership Goal

MyCHIME and Next Wave Connect to transform collaboration, problem solving across healthcare industry

HOUSTON – October 22, 2014 – Next Wave Connect, provider of the first social collaboration platform created specifically for the healthcare industry, announced today that the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has officially launched its new myCHIME healthcare community networking, collaboration, and education platform.  Built in partnership with Next Wave Connect, the new platform is in keeping with CHIME’s goal to advance the roles of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and other senior healthcare IT Leaders.

MyCHIME will provide CHIME members and CHIME foundation representatives a dynamic, interactive, and engaging environment in which to communicate and collectively solve problems.  Next Wave Connect and CHIME first announced their plans to partner in the creation of myCHIME almost exactly one year ago.

“We believe that this platform will serve as a valuable tool for more meaningful connections and will facilitate the collaborative problem-solving that to an increasing degree will be essential in the healthcare industry,” said CHIME president and CEO Russell P. Branzell, FCHIME, CHCIO. “Together, Next Wave Connect and CHIME are transforming collaboration across the healthcare industry by providing our members a highly engaging environment through which they can help guide our industry forward through some of today’s greatest challenges.”

Through myCHIME, CHIME’s members will have the opportunities to make connections and collaborate across the industry; openly dialogue in secure, interactive forms; engage with industry thought leaders; and solve problems in topic-focused communities.  MyCHIME will have a dedicated Next Wave Connect Community Manager, Kristen Cooper who will help members navigate through the vast amount of content and resources found within the communities.

“Next Wave Connect will provide CHIME members access to a multitude of Connect Communities and dedicated industry professionals – such as Next Wave’s Advisor Council Experts(ACEs) and Community Managers — who will facilitate discussions and work together to solve the issues they face on a daily basis,” said Drex DeFord, Chief Executive Officer, Next Wave Connect.  “Working together, such accomplished healthcare leaders can bring a huge cross section of knowledge and experience to myCHIME, enhancing the collaborative experience and crowd-sourcing new solutions and best practices.”

Next Wave Connect is a social collaboration platform designed and operated by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals.
